Risk & Liabilities
We are committed to providing the best services which will give you a once in a life time journey. The Mystical Meadows (also referred to as TMM) always puts all its efforts honestly and seriously in making your journey smooth and pleasant. All the services will be provided as per the agreement between you and us in the time of booking. However, all Nepal, India, Tibet and Bhutan tour is run are strictly under their own policies and Tourism Authority. The Mystical Meadows or its associates shall not be responsible for any change or cancellation of programs due to unavoidable circumstance such as Government restrictions, landslides, road blockages, flood, avalanches, political unrest, cancellation of flights, delay, sickness or accident, breakdown of vehicles. Any extra cost incurring there of shall be borne by the clients on the spot. So it is most advisable that clients to have full insurance against medical and personal accident risk. Cancellation insurance is also most recommended.
Program Change/Delay:
The itinerary can change without notice due to unavoidable circumstances beyond our control like weather hazards, landslides, political unrest, road blockage, avalanches, sudden sickness, etc. The program can be customized as per the interest of the clients and if TMM cancels your trip due to unavoidable circumstances like war, natural disasters, political unrest, bad climate etc, TMM would be happy to refer you alternative trip of a similar standard. We keep it preserve for your next time but not longer than one year.
Price Changing:
We reserve the right to revise pricing rate if posted in our marketing material and website, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors that are further than our control, for instance changes in exchange rates, government action etc. Most of the time Domestic flight fare is changing due to increase in fuel prices.
Passport and Visas:
All clients must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. Nepalese visas can be obtained from the Nepalese Consulate in your country or up on arrival in Kathmandu Airport. Nepalese visas cost is USD 25 for 15 days and USD 40 for 30 days till date.
Travel Insurance:
Our clients must have comprehensive travel insurance package. Their insurance must cover against medical, personal accident, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, lost of gears and natural calamity, theft of or damage to baggage and personal effects etc.
Flight delay:
Flight by plane and helicopter are prone to cancellations and delays for notorious weather in remote areas and some time operational complications which could occur in particular in the Everest region - Lukla flight, Annapurna region - Jomsom flight, Dolpa, Simikot and Jumla region etc.
(Often mountain flights are delayed without prior notice, the flight is normally 6:30 am in the mooring and you have to be at the airport at 6:00 am but most of the time it’s delayed by an hour. If we go late they put the Second flight passengers on 6:30 am so, we need to be there at the flight time, be prepared for this).
We also recommend that you carry extra money to buy food and accommodations in case of delays. TMM will not be responsible for these additional expenses or costs incurred from lost connections, so plan accordingly.
Trekking in the remote areas or in as described above, especially during odd season, you’re highly advised to reserve extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating consequence. In case of delay in flight prior to trek departure or at the end of the trek, you need to meet your accommodation, food costs by yourself.
Payments:
For all the services contracted, certain advance payment should be made to hold the booking, on confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid either before your departure from your country or upon arrival in INDIA but definitely before the commencement of the services. Management personnels hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of the service & the time left for the commencement of the service.
Apart from above in some cases like Special Train Journeys, hotels or resorts bookings during the peak season (X-Mas, New Year), full payment is required to be sent in advance.
Mode of Payment:
Overseas advance payment can be made through Wire Transfer to our bank .
Cancellation Policy:
In the event of cancellation of tour or travel services due to any avoidable or unavoidable reasons, we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:
30 days prior to arrival: 10% of the Tour or service cost
20 days prior to arrival: 20% of the Tour or service cost
15 days prior to arrival: 30% of the Tour or service cost
10 days prior to arrival: 50% of the Tour or service cost
5 days prior to arrival or No Show: No Refund
In case of Special Trains Journeys and peak season hotel bookings a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required).
In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers, contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
Our Liabilities & Limitations:
Please note that after the finalization of the Tour or service Cost, if there are any entrance fees of monuments, museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges, the same would be charged as extra.
TMM act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts and tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.
All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may cause changes to the either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants' safety, comfort and general well being.
Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and check-out time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.
We shall not be responsible for any delays and alterations in the program or expenses incurred directly or indirectly due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.
We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting directly or indirectly due to any natural calamity, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage and personal belongings at all times are at the client's risk.
Terms of Use
