Nepal is a land locked country situated between Uttarakhand and Sikkim. It also shares a boder with Tibet in the north and the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in the south.

The mountainous north has eight of the world's ten tallest mountains, including the h

ighest point on Earth, Mount Everest, called Sagarmatha in Nepali. It contains more than 240 peaks over 20,000 ft (6,096 m) above sea level. The fertile and humid south is heavily urbanised. Nepal is commonly divided into three physiographic areas: Mountain, Hill and Terai.

The Nepal Himalayas rank amongs the best in the world and attract tourists from all over the globe. There are about 10 peaks 8000 above sea level. It is one of the most preferred destinations for major mountain expeditions.
